All-Elite Wrestling’s annual Double-or-Nothing pay-per-view airs this Sunday with a start time of 8 p.m. EST. The PPV will take place at Glendale, Arizona’s Desert Diamond Arena, and it will be the seventh time the event has been held since AEW began in 2019.
During AEW’s six-year run, they’ve been forced to go head-to-head with NXT on a few different fronts. The first battle occurred when NXT decided to air its flagship program against AEW Dynamite on Wednesday nights.
AEW got better ratings overall, but there was some back-and-forth on a week-to-week basis. NXT eventually moved to Tuesday nights.
However, following Vince McMahon’s departure from the WWE, the promotion increased its overall exposure and presence. In the resulting occasions where AEW and NXT have gone against each other, NXT has mostly come out ahead.
This Sunday, perhaps the most high-profile clash between the promotions will occur as NXT Battleground will begin on Peacock at 7:30 p.m. EST. The PLE will be held at Tampa, Florida’s Yeungling Center.
