John Cena now holds the record for most world championship reigns with seventeen following his victory over Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania XLI. Cena was previously tied with the “Nature Boy” Ric Flair with sixteen.
The WWE is hosting another PLE, Backlash, just three weekends after Mania, and Cena will be defending his WWE Undisputed Championship against fourteen-time champ Randy Orton.
Odds for betting on WWE Backlash have been slowly appearing as matches are announced.

WWE Undisputed Championship Odds
- John Cena -2000
- Randy Orton +750

It would be incredibly strange for Cena to lose his title so quickly after his win over Rhodes. Since he will be retiring as a pro wrestler at the end of 2025, the WWE will likely want to milk this last reign for as long as they can.
Oddsmakers are so confident that Cena will beat Orton that bets of between $20 and $50 are required to net a dollar in gains. A $1 wager on Orton will earn between $7.50 and $12 if successful.

Gunther vs. Pat McAfee Betting Line
- Gunther -1600
- Pat McAfee +600

Gunther vs. Pat McAfee is a throwaway match for entertainment only, but for some reason, neither book favors Gunther as much as Cena or Fatu. Perhaps there is concern regarding a gimmick outcome.

Lyra Valkyria became the inaugural WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion by winning a tournament last December, and she is projected to drop the strap to Becky Lynch at Backlash.
The odds are not as certain as the other matches, but still separate the favorite and underdog by a massive 450-point gap.
Look for more Backlash betting lines to appear as matches are announced between now and this Saturday. Odds should remain online until the bell rings for each given match.
The next Premium Live Event after Backlash will be WWE Money In The Bank, which will be held on June 7th at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles, California.
